just bought my blender only to find it doesn't work. I can turn it on, but when I press the button to blend, "on" light blinks as if to say something's not right, and it will not blend on any speed. Any suggestions?

Apprenticeamy, my new mixer won't turn on either. If you get some help please let me know. Thanks
