Hi, I have an RUUD Silhouette II, model UGPH-10EBRJR. I also have the serial number if that's needed. Anyway, the issue that I'm having is that there's no heat. The AC works, as does the neutral fan. However, when I turn on the heat, the furnace will run for around 2 minutes then turn off. After it turns off, my thermostat (Honeywell RTH230B) still displays a small flame, indicating that the heat is on. I've tried turning the switch on and off several times but, there's still no flame coming from the burners. When I check the board, the light that says "Flame" isn't lit up, but the two lights next to it (OK/PWR) are. I'm really not sure what to do next.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two Possible answers 1) Have a tech come in and Check Voltage to Gas Valve. No Voltage or voltage under 24v Change Transformer/Check Circuit Boarded for burnt spots. 2) If Voltage to Gas Valve is 24v or Higher Have Tech. Change out Gas Valve.

SOURCE: Carrier Weathermaker SX model 58SX060-CC Blower runs all the time

Remove all power from the furnace, it is likely the brain in the furnace is need of being reset, from the battery replacement, why did you change the battery, was there an indicator telling you to change it?

Many times just removing all the power to the furnace will do the trick with a reset, if not let me know and we will go from there, but it sounds like the main brain is confused or bad, more likely confused, so try the power removed first.

Than let me know [email protected]

SOURCE: Rheem gas furnace pilot lights, but no burners or fan

If the burners do not fully ignite, the sensor will shut the furnace down. The lack of sufficient burner flame is a gas valve or gas pressure problem within the valve.
Replacing the gas valve with the original one may get you going. I surely suggest a professional service company for safety reasons and a thorough inspection. A 20 year old furnace is past it's normal life span.

SOURCE: gas furnace, main burner ignites the other 2 don't. then shutdn.

Between the burners is a small rail in the pressed steel where the flame runs across to light the other burners and it sounds like there is dirt or debris in the step over rails causing the problem. You will need to use some compressed air on those rails to clear them out. Once the rails are clear the other two burners should ignite right away.

My Rudd Model# UGPH-07EAUER Silhouette II furnace goes into lock out. I have replaced the filter and still happens. I actually thought it might be the Limit Switch and replace all 3 of them. Still goes...

Does this unit also have an AC coil installed? Can you check to see if it is dirty or blocked? Although you are not cooling the heated air must still pass through this component. Has it ever been operated without a filter? How many return ducts tie into the unit and is each path filtered? Do you have filters in the individual return grilles? What do the blades on the blower look like? It sounds as if the temperature may be too high if you have to continually reset the high limit. This occurs when you have low air flow.

There is a limit switch that is likely opening. Be sure your filters are clean and all registers and grilles are open and not obstructed. If the problem continues, you may have a dirty indoor coil or undersized duct work. Some models have a window where you can observe the LED lights. If when the furnace shuts down you see any blinking, you need to count the flashes and we can figure out what the problem is from there.
