    To Guest,

So what is your solution??? All you say is you can't find a driver either. Since you don't know how to use these forums please just read them and leave the answers to someone else.

Lost my disk for installing Kodak easyshare v1003 digital camera. Got new computer and want to install software on puter so I can transfer my pictures from camera to computer. What software do I need to...

You don't need any additional software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Ive misplaced the disc and need the driver to download to my computer

Depending upon which version of Windows you are using, there might already be a copy of the correct driver on your PC. If you have installed this software once before, then it may be worth a look.

Now, again, the version of Win is necessary, because the location may be slightly different. Start by looking in these folders:

C:\windows\system32
C:\windows\system32\drivers ... or anything below this.
C:\windows\system32\DriveStore
C:\Program Files ... and whatever the named folder is for that software
C:\Program Files\Common Files ... and below, especially
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data ... and below

But the best way is if you remember the way the file name was spelled, to do a Search on your hard drive, using the first few characters of the filename of the driver.

For Example, to search for a Symantec driver, you would do a search on C:\sym*.* and see what comes up. Anything that begins with sym will be found, and you could look through those files for the driver.

For Columbia Telecommunications, it is going to be different, of course. And from what I saw using Google, that company is going to be difficult to find. If they are still in business, and you know the web site, clearly you should go there first, and look in their support area for drivers and downloads. That is the place to start.

The reason I didn't give you that first is that I was unable to find them on the web, but more time might have turned up better results.

Good luck,
-a.
