Fin / paddle has come loose in the drum.

- Sorry! NEC NFL-1065.

Apr 30, 2009

- Thanks, but I forgot to mention that this is a front loader and the baffles appear to have been fastened on the outsid of the drum. Looks like the whole tank/drum section needs to be remove and unbolted in half?

Apr 30, 2009

- I think this person is unfamiliar with this make of machine.

Apr 30, 2009

- I have already taken the back and the top off. The drum is inside a plastice barrel. There is absolutely no access to the barrel unless it is unbolted in two halves around the middle.

What model washing machine do you have?

- There should be some Tork screws on the back panel that will allow for you to slide the top back and get access to the top of the drum. The baffle that is loose is probably missing a screw. Tighten all the screws on the drum holding in the baffles. If you see one missing then unscrew one of the screws and check your tool box or take it to a local hardware store. Should cost about $0.25, quick, easy fix.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

- If you open the panal of the washer then you should be able to see the drum.

- You should be able to remove a panel from your machine and access the drum without having to remove the drum...

The baffles are screwed in from the outside of the drum...

Hi,

The paddles are the plastic things inside the metal drum. they are held in by tabs that slide into slots in the drum and a metal tab from the drum flips over a ledge underneath the paddle.
if its loose you may need to replace it, they are available as a spare part and come with instructions. you will need to varify which version you have by counting the bumps on the end of the padle, should be 2 or 3.
basically you put a small screwdriver down on of the holes in the top of the paddle, i think the 3rd one, to push the metal drum tab down enough to be able to pull the paddle towards you and out of it's slots. carefull not to push the tab down too far as it will bend inside the drum and isd pain to bend back again.

Any further help, Let me know.

on my own opinion you need to take off the cover of it coz all the bolts that's holding it was at the back. so try to take off the back cover for you to see where the loose bolt is and then just tighten it but be sure to unplug the power cable always... safety first thank's... hope it works...
