You may need to replace the dual water control valve due to only the water dispenser side of the water control valve being the only side that works. What is the model number of your Kenmore refrigerator? Kenmore model numbers look like this=> 321.235689 as an example. An example of the water control valve if your model number was 321.235689 is part number=> 12001414 Water Inlet Valve

Don't use this example as the correct part. Look around the fresh food section door frame for your correct model number, Thanks Sea Breeze

Your water valve on the back of the refrigerator is plugged up, there are two sides to it, one side is for ice maker the other is for chilled water dispenser.You may be able to clean it out, if not then you will have to buy a new valve.Hope this helped.

there are 2 pipes going from the pump at the bottom of your unit ... 1 to the ice maker and the other to the filter for water.
make sure the pip for the ice make is tight in the connector of the valve ... let me know...

You could have a clog in the housing underneath the dispenser where the water flows through a hose into the tub.
Pull the dispenser drawer completely out.
There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer and remove it.
Check the opening at the bottom of the housing just inside the dispenser housing opening to see if a small sock or garment is clogging this opening.
Reach down into this opening to see if an item is inside the hose.
This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.

Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Replace the dispenser drawer and try the washer again.

I resolved the problem on my Kenmore Elite model 106.55616400 by removing the drip tray, taking out two screws that hold the panel, and disconnecting and reconnecting the wires from the panel to the board. Unplugging the refrigerator did not work.
