If there is nothing crucial on it, reformat it for MS-DOS, and try again.

Hello I bought 3 x 2gb cruzer usb sticks to run music on my sony hi fi they are not recognised..do they need formatting?

You could format them yes, but sometimes the device will not recognize certain memory sticks. You could call sony and see if those are supported USB sticks.

My computer won't recognise my sandisk card reader D33D21? Are drivers available for this on windows 7?

You should not need drivers. Chances are that the drive died. I would try putting this device in another computer first. see the results. The wear leveling mechanism on most of these drives is limited; and it will start "not working" when it's reached the end of life. A professional data recovery company can get it back usually. http://techrxgb.com

Hi,

This is because there is a fault in the slot where you put the memory card.
The problem is the memory card contact surface in not in contact with the memory card reader contact surfcae.

So please change the memory card reader it wil be fine.

Thanx

My c902 has suddenly stopped recognising the m2 card

This may have something to do with how the m2 card is formated. PC systems such as FAT32 and NTFS do not work with cameras or telephones as the data cards in these devices are formatted to FAT16 or lower. In order to read the card when you placed it in your PC FAT32 would have been used.

If you are prepared to loose the data on the card I suggest you use a PC to re-format it to FAT16, your phone should then recognise it again!

Fixed it. All I needed to do was update the software drivers on my laptop. I have a sony vaio, so I looked up the software drivers they had online and downloaded them. After I installed them it worked flawlessly.

Formatting PSP mem. card

This depends on exactly which problems you are having with formatting, and which operating system you are using to format it. If you are using windows XP, then after plugging the stick into a port/reader, a message should come up saying "new hardware detected" and then windows should check through the generic drivers and recognise the stick. Then go to "my computer", right click on the stick and choose "format". It will probably give you a couple of format options, most likely to appear are "FAT 32" or just "FAT" - select FAT 32 if it is there and it should work, if not try the other option. If you still can't format properly, then there may be a problem with your memory stick, they are prone to failure for many different reasons. If you do not have windows XP then the process should be similar but probably not identical. Hope this helps, please post again if not :)
