Re: connecting

You can buy another one... the USB connector is the same as most digital cameras and is inexpensive... you might want to bring the broken cable in when you get a new one so you can make sure you get the right one... there are USB cables that LOOK similar, but theres enough of a difference to where it won't work, so bringing that cable in can help you get the right one... especially if you end up asking the sales clerks for help... good luck

Lost manual - it won't turn on

Do you still have your USB cable to connect it to a PC? Or power adapter to connect it to the wall?

If not, you can probably find one on EBay or some other such site.

It probably just needs to be charged. If you can get a USB cable for it, it will charge from most PCs without the need to install any software.

Mpman sd card not recognized

You will not be able to transfer the songs to your media card and then transfer it to your device..
you will need to transfer it directly to your device from the computer...if you want i can send you a link where you can obtain your device USB cable.

605 wifi won't start

I was having a similar problem where my 160 gb Archos 605 would not hold a charge even after two days of being plugged in through an AC wall adapter. It worked fine for 5 months without a problem, but then all of the sudden it would not hold a charge even if the LED light was blinking green.

One thing that I found that makes it now hold a charge now is by letting is by plugging it in to a computer. I don't know why, but for some reason, now when I charge it through a computer usb as opposed to the wall adapter, it charges and holds a chrage for over 3 hours. So, maybe try to just let the thing charge through a computer.

Not working.

I have no charge in my philips hdd82 player. Usually I just plug it into my computer via usb and a screen shows up on the player showing its connected and it charges. Usually it comes up as an MTP device on the computer so I can add mp3s as well. Now for no reason at all, when I plug it in, it doesn't charge and the computer doesn't recognize it. The screen shows an outlet when I plug it in so I know the cord works. It just won't let me do anything. When I press the on button with the cord unplugged, I can't do anything either b/c no charge. HELP. plz.
