Ice maker is making ice but when you push lever to make ice come out nothing happens Water works ok when you use that lever

When the ice-tray is full it pushes 'UP' a lever that shuts the water supply off. When you move the lever down all goes back to normal.

could be the micro switch. need model number.

There is 2 switches in the dispenser that get energized when you push in the levers....check those out. Also there is a small control board in most refrigerators....and that could be malfunctioning.

check for a child lockout button it will look like a tiny padlock ,press and hold for 3 sec.(could be the freezer door light switch)

replace micro switch above the ice maker lever in the dispensor housing

make sure you push the ice lever back down

There is a lever in the ice bin that detects when it is full. if that lever is locked in the"up" position, the maker stops making ice. Many times a previous owner or a shipper will turn off the icemaker this way. especially if the water to the home or freezer is turned off, so it won't keep trying to make ice.

I have the same problem. I've had the freezer for 2 years & ice maker just stopped making ice this week. Freezer works O.K.

check the water hose. water supply to ice maker
