My Motorola KRZR started acting strange today. I went to use it and when I tried to scroll through the phone book, an asterisk appeared and started repeating itself all over the screen. My keys froze up and were unusable. I was able to see a call coming in but I could not answer it because none of the keys worked. Since then, I've turned the phone off and on several times with the same problem. I then tried removing the battery and SIM card and turning it on again. Now it won't shut off unless I take out the battery and again, when it starts up, the keys will not work and I still get an asterisk. I have only had the phone maybe 6 months so it should be working fine. Any ideas on what I can do?

I have the same problem. Out of the blue and in the same way and the same exact order! you would think that motorola would step up and fix or replace the phones. It's obviously a manufactures default. AT&T no longer sells them on their site anymore, I wonder why.My phone service, AT&T, refused to replace or fix it. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm sick of getting taken financially raped by these cell phone companies and/or manufactures!!!!

I recent flipped open my phone one night and it started dialing numbers by istelf, it also started messing with the ring level settings so I turned off the phone. I counted about 5 seconds and turned the phone back on only for it to do it again. I completely removed the battery and left it alone overnight. I woke up the next morning and put everything back in and turned it on. It took a while to start the phone on and when I turned it on it showed that I had a new message. When I went to open the message I realized that none of my keypad functions worked. It's been like that ever since and it also turns the screen black after just 3 seconds. What happend and how can I fix this problem?

I patched a skin in my krzr using the skin manager and the program restarted my phone constantly i tried flashing the bootloader but that did not work. please help!!!! thanks!!

UR KEYPAD IS AUTO RUN.
TJIS ARISES WHEN PHONE IS WATER LOOGED OR HIT SOMWHER.GO TO SERVICE CENTER UPLOAD NEW SW N CLEAN THE MOBILE PROPERLY.
IT WIL WORK

hi mine is doing the same, fones gone mad...have you found a solution other than sending it back and asking for a replacement?
