Start with the manufactuers inflation rate posted on the door. If you still have that size tire on vehicle, this is the proper inflation rate. If the size ot the tire has changed, the significant number is the difference between the front inflation rate and the rear inflation rate ( n/a if the numbers are equal). This number accounts for the specifics of your vehicle ( engine & transmission type, suspention , weight distribution, etc.). The dirfference between front & rear inflation rate should be maintained regardless of tire size or type. This will ensure proper braking and handling charecteristics and a safe ride.

There should be a sticker on the driver's door that gives the proper inflation for you vehicle. If not there it can be on the pillar where the door meets the vehicle.

What is the correct amount of air pressure in my Nissan Rogue tires

The correct air pressure will be an a label that is visible on the right when you open the drivers door. Depending on the tire size it might be anything from 30 psi to 35 psi My Rogue says 33psi. Be sure to use an accurate gauge. It is more important that the tires be filled the same. Do not go by what is printed on the sidewall of the tire. That is the MAXIMUM pressure. Also 60 psi is the pressure for the spare.

Tire sensor light comes on every so often pressure is right how do i turn light off crv 2010 honda

The trouble with Tire Pressure Sensors (TPS) is that they are in my opinion, too sensitive. Even a drop in tire pressure of 2 PSI seems to set them off. You may notice that the light comes on in the morning (when it's cool) but goes off after a short drive. Once your tires have warmed up (either from an outside temperature increase or by road friction) the air in the tire expands, increasing the tire pressure slightly, -usually satisfying the TPS and the light goes out.

I've used both of these methods to solve this issue: Get your tires filled with nitrogen (less expansion/contraction than air) or you could increase the tire pressure at the air filling station by few PSI.

I want to pump up my tyres. what is the psi i need to use?

Hello, Welcome to fixya. Look in your manual and it will tell you the pressure psi for your tires. But her is what I do, to make sure. On the side of you tires, it will show the range of the tire pressure that your tires should be set at. Another thing, if you can not read the side of tires, pull into Les Swaub tires and they will fill your tires to proper psi.

TPM light stays on. All 4 tires have 26 lbs of air. What is recommended tire pressure?

32 psi is the usual recommended pressure but you may have to fill the tires to 35 psi to make the TPM system reset. That's how most systems recognize that you have serviced the tires. Most TPM systems will indicate low tire pressure around 26-28 psi.

My message window shows low tire pressure, but it doesn't say which tire. How do I find out which tire has pressure problems, and will the message automatically erase when the tire is fixed?

Well there's only one way to find out. Go full the tires. The air pump would have a psi reader and each tire if not identical have range of psi to fill to. So you don't have to buy a meter just go to the pump. Or do visual check.

How do i reset my tire pressure light on my jeep liberty 2006

Check all the tires with a pressure gauge and fill each tire to 33 PSI when cold (not right after driving). Also, if the light does not go off after you perform this procedure, then you will have to check and fill the spare tire to 33 psi to get the engine to shut off. Most Jeeps don't have a sensor on the spare, but I thought I would mention it.
