Hitachi 50 inch projection tv, 50ux15k

worked fine 2 days ago. I went to power it on last night and it made the usual clicking noise as if it was starting up, the red light in front lit up for about 1/2 second then an 2nd click... like i was turning it off, but I did nothing. I talked to someone who thought it might be a convergence ic, but I always thought the convergence was for the colors and am not having a color problem... if you also think it might be convergence ic's, could you tell me where they are located and how much trouble it would be to replace them. I have done some sodering and electonic work, but its been awhile. any help to fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
