Question about Memorex MLT3221 32 in. LCD TV
Check the settings and see if he has any CC1 or CC's activated or any type of Closed Caption. The only time something like this happens is usually when you have it set for CC2 or something along those lines.

this issue is tape from the edge of the panel falling onto the screen. You will have to remove the cabinet and the panel from the bezel(front cabinet).remove the screws from the lcd outer edge. Take of the tape.Be very carfull of the ribbon cable that goes to the lcd controller and to the lcd screen itself. They break easy. If you do , its over. you will need a new panel. to much money and work. best to leave it alone.I have fixed it several times for people with warrentys. It is just anoying but will not hurt your tv.
