Mic recordings don't play after PC crash..

Hi, I have made about 4Gigs of micriphone recordings for my personal use. However, my PC unexpectedly crashed some time ago. I retrieved all saved data, and re-installed my OS - WinXP Home. But now there is a problem - Sonic Stage software doesn't let me play my own recordings. All I get is an error message: "SonicStage (00002460-2100) Cannot play this track because its licencing information cannot be retrieved. For more information, contact the source from which you received this track. (000084e0)" Fact: I am the source from which this track was received. Then I tried to convert it into WAV. But I got this message: "Non-ATRAC tracks or tracks purchased from the music service cannot be saved as WAV format" Fact: It's a mic recording of my own voice. It has not been purchased. It's been created by myself. And it's definitely ATRAC file with extension *.oma Please I need your help,if anything can be done. Quite valuable information has been recorded, and I need it now.

SOURCE: Problem with transfering!

This is not a solution, but an explanation.
There is nothing wrong with your Net MD. This is a standard feature Sony included to protect copyrights. An extensive search of available soft produced only one non-commercial product which promisses such transfer
No idea if it works, it's a shareware.

Sharp MD MS 702 shows sound is being recorded but on playback shows blank disc, what could be the problem?

That does not sound good. Being optimistic, though, what happens if you record something and then finalize it? Will it play then?
Will it play a previously recorded MD?

I have a sony mz r500 minidisk. can i upload songs to computer, after I use it to record to minidisk?

I don't think this is designated a "Net-MD" - is it? If so, by using the proprietary software (Sonic Stage), recordings can be transferred from the computer via USB to the MD unit - and back again.

You won't be able to "transfer" using a USB cable if the recordings didn't originate via Sonic stage. But you can record them in real time using Cool Edit, Adobe Audition or Audacity (free proggie!). This is the only way of transferring music from any non-USB equipped MD unit, or any MD unit that made the recordings with a mic or using line-in.

Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-NF810

I've never bothered to use the software to transfer from MZ-NF810 to computer, partly because the software is not very good, but mainly because i think the whole thing about we not being allowed to download again from the computer due to legal issues are just so blah. Anyways, a guaranteed way to work the sound between the NF810 and the computer is to use play the NF810 and pipe it to the miniplug mic in on your computer and record on your computer (if you have a mac this could be SoundEdit.) To record from your computer, you plug in the optical cable on both the computer and the NF810 and play the sound on the computer and record on your NF810.
