Repairing Microwave I have a GE Microwave. The model number is JE1540WW002. The microwave timer works, but it does not heat anything, the turn table doesn't move. Should I just replace the two switches and the door latch? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem My model number is JE1540WW 003.

The first 3 days it started to fail, the way to close the door, I kind of lift the door when closing, 50% chance it will work, ie head the food, buzzing souned, turn table turns, etc. It got worse the more I tried. Now it totally won't work

Why microwave does not heat anymore

Well, we are looking at a bad magnetron, cracked high voltage diode, or a shorted high volage capacitor. I would suggest replacing the microwave oven because the expence involved to have it serviced.

Unit does not heat up the lighy works the timer works the turn table works there is no heat

Most likely the magnetron is at fault if everything else appears normal. This is the main part of a microwave & is an expensive part to replace, it might be more economical to buy a new microwave.

IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS RANGING FROM DIODES TO CAPACITORS TO YOUR MAGNATRON OR THERMOSTAST OR TRANSFORMERS. IT'S DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE WITHOUT SEEING THIS MICROWAVE. YOU MAY BE BETTER OFF GETTING YOURSELF A DIFFERENT ONE.
