Problem for Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Router (tm23003)

Loses half the download rate when using this.

I run a laptop from our wireless router to get internet. When I do this, I lose 50% of my download rate. I called my ISP and he suggested to upgrade the firmware on my router, other than that he just said I have an old model. Any suggestions? Or tips on how to upgrade firmware?

Try changing the MTU of the router this would help, if you are wireless changing the channel of the wireless rotuer would help a little.
