The timer knob broke - can't find replacement

The timer knob, which gets daily use, has broken. Plastic.... My local roaster can't get a replacement knob. The Baratza website has replacements for just about every part except the knob. Where can I get one? Thanks! Lonnie

Re: The timer knob broke - can't find replacement

Assuming it has broken on the shaft then you could pry the broken bit off the shaft and take the knob and broken piece to your domestic appliance parts stockist. The shafts are usually a standard size and there might be a similar knob that you could replace it with.

Need replacement part for Starbucks Barista Blade Grinder! Please help? Went to grind as I usually do but there is apparently a plastic circular part under the blades (I imagine that keeps the blades in...

your best bet is probably to search ebay for a dead one you can strip, cheaper grinders tend not to be supported with parts, personally id recommended throwing it away and getting a better grinder, blade grinders do not give a consistent grind, they are just about acceptable for grinding for a french press but anything else youll be far better off with a burr grinder

Timer switch is not working stuck in the on postion

I just had the same problem. It's the knob itself. You have to extract the knob by pulling, gently, and squeezing it out. The plastic housing over the metal thing is cracked. I took some super glue and duct tape and wound it tightly around it and pushed it back it and it works.

How to disassemble it to fix the start button, which fell into the machine

Just adding to dhelkamp's instructions (which helped me immensely!).

The front quantity knob kan be pulled right out - it's held in place by friction only.

The side knob has 3 latches holding it in place. Releasing 2 is sufficient. Use 2 small flat screwdrivers.

As for the assembly, there are 4 latches in the inner assembly holding it in place. The location of these latches can be seen by looking at the edge of the outer shell. The front latches are just behind the holes for the rubber feet, and the rear latches are just in front of the rear holes. Use a flat screwdriver to release one of the front latches, while pressing down on the outer shell - it should give way 1-2 mm. Repeat on each of the other 3 latches, whilst keeping pressure on the outer shell. The cover should easily slide off the grinder assembly. Beware of getting pinched!

Cup for grinder

This happened to mine this morning. I was so frustrated because the reason I bought this was because of the removeable bowl. My bf got it off but he broke off a piece of plastic (he is pretty sure the piece of plastic was on the bowl part).

I put it back on and it kind still worked- I think I will just need to get a replacement bowl now - but it was hard to get off again.

When I tried to get it off the second time, I moved it into the "unlocked" postion and then manipulated the the blade part while pulling and it came off - but of course mine was broken already.

There appears to be two areas where it locks - on the base and a part on the bowl. I think somehow they get out of synch.

The problem is not with the base I think but with the bowl.

Although, now that it is "sorta" broken - I can't remember what parts were supposed to be loose before and which ones were not. The blade part of the bowl is very loose now. My boyfriend is pretty sure the plastic broke off the bowl part so I am going to get another bowl. I hope that solves my problem!

Krups GVX2-12 Electric Burr - Thermal Fuse

Open the grinder by removing both knobs.
The front knob is held in place by friction. Use two flat head screwdrivers to pry it off.
The side knob is held in by tabs you have to push. Pry forward to expose the tab, and use another screwdriver to press the tab, and use the other screwdriver to press the tab on the other side.
Now look at the bottom of the grinder. There are four tabs on the outer shell, use screwdriver s to pry the tabs to separate the bottom of the grinder from the shell, and pull off the shell. Your fuse should be attached to the motor wiring coil.
