Question about Microsoft Office Standard for PC

Outlook 2007 My outlook worked fine in the beginning(sending and receiving). Now it will only receive email, not send. Whenever I try to send, I immediately get a message in my inbox 'message undeliverable'. I thought maybe it was something with my ISP, but I have an old version of Outlook Express that I tried and it sent mail fine. I have tried re-entering the mail account info- didn't work. Have you had any experience with this?

    It happens with anything and everything I try to send. Even all text.

    How do authenticate tools?

    I see the account settings tab, not the one for tools.

    The settings are the same.

    When I do a test mail from the settings, it works.

    But when I try to send mail regularly, it fails.

    I had problems before about it not authenticating and I checked the box- login to inbox first, and it worked. A week later, now it wont. It tells me the email address I'm sending to -mailbox unavailable.

If the message had a file or picture in it sometimes you will have to zip it to compress it and secure it as it may be caused by the way the programme sends packets of information.

    double check the settings in outlook express as to the settings in outlook, for example, my outgoing server requires authentification in tools and the account settings.

    in outlook, it's in tools email account>view or change>next>click on your email ady>change and click more settings, compare it with outlook express in account settings

How can I fix my error 530 problem in outlook?


Your Outlook settings work fine at home, sending/receiving mail. You're on the road now, and you can no longer send, but only receive mails. You're getting an Error 530 or Outlook error 0x800CCC78.

The problem is the on-the-road ISP may be blocking port 25, and/or your ISP might not accept mail being relayed from other network domains. SBC Yahoo allows you to change your SMTP port from 25 to 587. Most ISPs let port 587 flow through. Internet access works, receiving email works, you just can no longer send.

Solution:

  • Go to Outlook, Tools, Accounts, Server, Advanced, and change the SMTP port from 25 to 587. Hit Apply, OK, then exit/restart Outlook.
  • Start Outlook, create a test email and send it. Should work fine.
  • The solution might vary with other ISPs. Your home ISP must support an alternate port for SMTP TCP traffic, and the current ISP providing you access must not block that alternative port.
  • Recognize this is all the fault of spammers and the ISPs trying to slow them down. This is why they block port 25 for non-customers.

If this doesn't work, just change the port back to port 25.
Alternatively, as with SBC Yahoo mail, you can always use the Webmail interface. This, like all other web pages, uses port 80, which ISPs do not block.

Forwarding emails using Outlook 2003 Professional


I use Outlook 2003 and sometimes have a similar problem with messages I forward.
It only happens though with messages I receive in an account that is not my default account and which configuration (SMTP server, security, etc.) is different from the default account's.
And it happens because Outlook forwards messages from the email account the message was received, not from the default email account.
So if you have different accounts configured in Outlook, you might want to check the SMTP servers and security configurations of email accounts other the than default account (which seems to be OK since you can send emails).
You can also direct Outlook to send your forward messages from your default account and not the account the resent message was addressed to.

Cannot delete email from outbox in outlook express


Plz disable ur internet, close ur outlook without sending, then open again & if sending receiving then cancel immediately, now u can delete ur e-mail from outlook.

1. Go the File menu, then choose Work Offline in order to stop Outlook from trying to send all mails:
2. Switch to the Outbox.
3. You now have two options:
a. Move the message: you can drag-and-drop or use the Edit: Move to Folder menu item to move the e-mail to your drafts folder. This will allow you to re-open the offending e-mail and slim it down by removing the large attachments before attempting to resend it.

b. Delete the message: this will immediately remove the message from the Outbox and put it in Deleted Items.

If you receive an error at this point that says the message is being transmitted, close Outlook, wait for Outlook to exit (you may need to use Task Manager and wait for the Outlook.exe process to exit), and then start Outlook again and repeat steps 2-3. In some cases, the item may not be released until Outlook has restarted.
5. Go to the File menu, deselect Work Offline to start sending and receiving mail again.
