Question about De Dietrich 24 in. DVF120J Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Built in De Dietrich dishwasher

My dishwasher has stopped working. It completed a full cycle day before yesterday, but wouldn't work when I went to run it this morning. An orange light has come on (on the top, to the right of the programmes) but I'm not sure what it means. It has two arrows flowing in different directions in a sort of circular movement. I've topped up both salt and rinse aid and the power is working OK. Unfortunately I don't have a manual. Please can you tell me what this symbol means and what I might need to do to get the machine to function. Thank you.

I've tried, but sadly to no avail! I can see that I'll have to be getting the marigolds out if I don't find the answer soon...

I have the same problem with our dishwasher - it starts to whir when I switch on but then stops and I too have a red light where the arrows are. I do not have a manual either.

    thanks

try pressing stop or cancel button for 10 full seconds. If this does not work, unplug the machine for 10 minutes. While unpluged, press and hold cancel or stop but for 10 seconds, then plug machine back in. If it still does not work, test the door switch with an ohmmeter to make sure the door switch is not faulty.

Kenmore Dishwasher 587.15163401 knob stuck mid-cycle

See if it is stuck on a water heat cycle. if the heater circuit or the thermostat is not working properly it will continue to run looking for a rise in temperature. If these are in working order the timer it self could be sticking and not advancing.

It does not rinse properly, leaving a film on

Pump worn out, using too much soap and depending on where you live there may be a more concentrated amount of minerals in the water. Florida residents are having that problem in spades due to our drought.

Pull the built in unit out and tilt towards the rear right leg and the water will drain on to the floor. The Dishwasher then restarts but the anti flood sensor will reactivate after 2-3 more washes. Do not know final fix yet.

No hot water

Some things to check. Is the hot water valve turned on? Is the hot water hose strainer and machine inlet strainer clear of clogs? If neither of those is the problem, then it has to be either the water temperature selector or the hot water solenoid valve. Depends on how handy you are if you want to tackle troubleshooting and possibly replacing ether of these.
