What was said about the low ink is true especial the black ink if they are low it will just go into memory....So replace the inks if u do the memory clear and it still says receive in memory and wont print.

I have about 10 faxes in memory from when the ink was low a week or so ago. The offending ink cartridges have been replaced and the faxes have been printed but they are still in memory. How do I get them out of there and clear the memory? All faxes keep going straight to memory and the ink is not low.
This is driving me mental as I have to go into memory and run through all the old faxes to see if there is anything new. Please help!

all faxes go directly into memory. will not print directly. mode is set on receive fax only.

  • erinnyc May 11, 2010

This is not a low ink problem. All the reports that haven't printed are still in the machine and are using all the memory. But how do I print them to free up memory?

This could be very simple. Check to be EXTRA sure that your USB line is NOT plugged into the fax line. (There's a little phone icon). That's what happened to me....boy am i dumb!

Unplugging from the wall solved by In Use/Memory light problem too. Light came on after I ran out of ink and stayed on after printing faxes from memory. Thanks!

Hmmm just bought one and set it up at neighbors house and worked fine. Something about if you did not have it in FAX mode, then all Faxes would go to Memory but would then print when you put it in FAX mode. This may seem to easy but they're customer support seemed very helpful, did you try to run problem by them, they actually answered in U.S. - NOT BOMBAY - 1 800 828-4040

Tried going to 'memory reference' on screen said no documents in memory even though couldn't fax anything..so couldn't clear memory..so unplugged at wall just as gregwooding suggested and if worked, just as I was about to hit printer with a sledge hammer!

The solution above is true, but if it still doesn't clear in fax mode, you likely are low on ink. If there are nearly empty cartridges, the fax received will go to memory . If the light is on, the memory has a fax in it. To clear it, you have to print the fax. First, look at the screen. It should indicate that a cartridge is low. If so, either change the cartridge that is low, OR you can temporarily override this feature until the ink actually runs out. Press the menu button, then the right arrow button once which will bring up "memory reference" on the screen. Press "OK", Now the screen should say "print document". Press OK. Then it will say "Print document TX No._____" Press OK again. It will say print first page only (Yes) or No. Press the right arrow to select NO. Press OK again, and the fax in memory will print. The light will go out, but the next fax you receive will again go into memory if you don't change the ink cartridge.

Erased files

the problem is the fax that are stored in memory you will lose anyway.

you will need to do the following to get rid of your error:

DATA REGISTRATION button,
and # button, on the operation panel

go down to number 8

then scroll round to ALL

and then restart the machine and the fault should go.

Hope this helps

Can't send out fax

the number you called does not answer or busy-you may have reached a number not connected to fax or it is connected and not activated in receiving mode-check the number and call again.
if you have a message "out of memory"there is no enough memory available to send your fax.press stop/exit print the faxes stored in the memory to delete them then try again.

Printing same page

try this make sure that receive reduction is switched on. You could load the paper tray up and just let it print as may have been a communication problem from RTI memory. Being Richo machine you should be able to reset the memory but this will get rid of all your stored numbers. But it will reset the machine so if you have a corrupted memory issue this will get rid of it.

Hope this helps you
Thanks J
