Problem for Quasar VM-L153 VHS-C Analog Camcorder
The picture is so bright the screen turns white.

As long as we are indoors it records fine. If we go outside or even try to look out a window, the screen becomes so bright you lose all picture, audio remains fine. I have read and re-read the booklet and tried to adjust the 'brightness' feature but it doesn't make a differance. TIA

You have a problem with a stuck shutter lens. Try freeing it by putting the shutter on auto shutter. You can try shaking the camera to free the shutter mechanism. Also try using a solid object to tap around the lens to free the shutter. Do not damage your camera with these fixes. If these fixes do not work for you, you will have to take your camera to a service person and have them free up the mechanism. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
