That may be normal depending upon what you are doing in the vehicle. If you have the climate control system set to defroster, most vehicles run the AC system to avoid fogging. Anytime the AC system is engaged the cooling fans must run. Make sure you don't have the AC or defroster on and try again. If the fans still run it could be a faulty fan switch.

Why is My 04 PT Criuser running hot and there is coolant in the radiator ?

check your cooling fans make sure they are working, to do this start your engine and turn on the ac the cooling fans should be running, if it does the next thing to check is the temp sensors, to do this turn off the ac, while the engine is running keep an eye on your temp gauge if the dial is going up above normal or at the point where you say the engine is running hot check if the cooling fans are running,
1) if not running, cooling fan sensor is not working, replace
2)if running, thermostat is shut, the thermostat regulates the flow of coolant in the engine it is fully open at normal operating temp and close if coolant is cold, replace

2004 mazda mpv engine racing and cooling fan not working

coolant temp sensor tells the computer how hot or cold the engine is so it can regulate the idle and fuel mixture, when it fails there usually is no cooling fan and you will have trouble starting the engine and keeping it running.

The car over heats when cut it off

It is possible that your cooling fan is not working. First check that the wires going to the cooling fan motor are plugged in. If you have A/C you may have two cooling fans check both. If wires are good. With the engine cold start the car. Let the car run until the engine is hot. See if the fan comes on. If the fan does not come on the motor or the relay are probably bad.
