Hi, xlovelydevil.

Drivers that CD-ROM drives use are generic drivers. That is, they come with Windows and hardly can be deleted.

If your CD-ROM is not working, one or more cables inside your case may have been disconnected. You should try pushing the button on the drive to see if it will eject the bay. If it does, then the power cable is good. You should see if you can find your drive listed in My Computer to determine if Windows recognizes it.

Acer Aspire 7741Z missing CD ROM drivers. Motherboard issue, maybe?

Usually, if the motherboard (meaning BIOS here) goes bad, you will lose all access to all drives. Since the CD-ROM and Recovery partitions have been targeted here, I would say you should be looking hard for a nasty virus or bot. They often attack by blinding your antivirus software, then they disable the CD-ROM (where you would reload from) and the recovery partition (same thing). This keeps them alive longer while you try to figure out what's wrong. I'm not saying that it COULDN'T be hardware or OS related, but first I'd run Malwarebytes or a third party A/V program to be sure that nothing else is wrong first.

Acer Aspire 5100 CD-ROM Problem

Go to the Acer website and reinstall the device driver for your cd-rom. If that does not help, your laser eye may be dirty and needs to be cleaned.

My laptop acer aspire4730z i got problem with my cd-rom(can't run)Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) ...my cd-rom drive(tsstcorpcd...

You have one of two problems....

1 - The driver for the cdrom drive has become corrupted somehow and needs replacing. Go out to the ACER website and download the cdrom driver specific to your make and model of computer (it is IMPORTANT that you provide specific information in the window boxes to get the correct driver for your hardware.) Once you have the new driver, uninstall the device from within Device Manager. Reboot the computer and when Windows proclaims it has found a new device, select to install the device driver from a specific location. Browse to the folder where you expanded the drivers and let Windows install and update the drivers from that location. OR the other possibility is....

2 - Your cdrom drive has died. Remedy, have it replaced.

Tsstcorp cd dvdw ts-l633a scsi cdrom device can't read the driver or it is corrupt. I am getting error code 39

Using Device Manager, look to see it laptop is sensing the presence of the cd-rom. (if it is not on the list, try removing / rebooting / and then reinstalling cd-rom) If it shows on the list, click to open it's properties and then delete the drivers for cd-rom (this will cause the laptop to reload the drivers on the next reboot) if it still doesn't work, go to micosoft updates and try to update the drivers there. If it still malfunctions, then the cd-rom may be faulty. Try replacing it with another cd-rom and see what you get.

delete your driver for said cd rom. Then go online and find the updated driver and re-install. Usually solves things like missing cd roms and cameras, etc.
