Question about CD Players

1 Answer

Teac sd2000 I disconected my system to clean behind it and then reconected the system by just pluging it in. Now when I try to use the cd player I get a "disk" message. I tried to use a disk cleaner to no avail. This is an older system. Barring a simple solution, will any cd player work with this system?

Is the CD player replaceable if we can get the correct CD replacement? I've tried to get the info from TEAC and they don't answer my email.

See if you can get the exact unit on the cheap on ebay. Teac obviously does not give a rat's a-- about your dilemma .

Your laser assembly is fubar and not repairable - not cost effective.
Time to move on after 9 years of use.

If I were you I would get hold of good magnifying glass or one that jewelers use and look into the lens of the device (power off of course). If you can see a scratch or smudge or damage then that's the reason the CD wont read.
Sorry if it is then it's likely you will need a new one and they are expensive.

TEAC H300CD Player

Hi, Your particular brand/model was made in the very early 2000. It is possible that the eye (optical lens) is already weak and would need replacement or calibration. You may want to try and clean the lens hopefully improving the reading capability. Some users of CD players use a PC CD cleaner to clean the eye (pls read the instructions) though this can be done by going inside the unit). Probably your best bet is to seek the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help and give you ideas. Pls post again how things turn up and/or if you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
