If it suddenly stopped working, then either the sound chip is damaged or the driver is corrupt. You need to find out the type of sound chip you have, but run a test first, click Start>run, then type msconfig and press enter, click on the sound tab to run a driver test.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Only one speaker plays and the sub plays , you can change the sound level left to right and only a little bit comes out , and the problem is with the right one

I fixed the same issue by turning the speakers off at the sub, then back on again. Not a permanent fix though, my left speaker has stopped completely now

My speakers have completely stopped working, do i need to take it back to the shop?

Hello

Check your audio settings to see if your speaker is not turned off

If all is working fine and it is still not giving you any sound then your speakers need to be replaced because they are faulty

Yes you can take the phone back to the shop if it is not too late

Good luck

My laptop speakers aren't working. A few days ago I kept receiving a pop-up from SigmaTel which would freeze my computer but the message stopped. Now my speakers stopped working completely.

If you have a restore point of a week ago, backstep your machine to the restore point.

Speakers stopped working

I get such a thing from time to time on different systems. What I do:

1. Open the Sound Control Panel (the one on this present PC is named: "SoundMax Control Panel").
2. Enable or Disable a certain feature (something like "Virtual Theater Surround" or "Virtual Ear" or "Acoustic Environments" or so on).
3. Click Apply and the sound is back in your speakers.
4. If you want, you can undo the enable / disable and the sound still works.

Speakers have stop having sound

1. Please plug in a set of speakers or headphones known to be in working order.
a. If the known-to-be-in-working order speakers or headphones work, your existing speakers are faulty.
b. if the known-to-be-in-working order speakers or headphones do not work, your existing speakers are fine, and your sound card is faulty.

Emachine computer no sound at all

Built in pc speakers are just for error beeps etc. You most likely have on-board sound. I would try getting a sound card (with drivers) Put it in a free pci slot & connect your speakers to it. :)

sounds like ye olden sound drivers are unhappy. or the sound card is taking early retirement. check drivers first..if you can't find out what sort of drivers you have, send me a note to pn4pm@yahoo.com and we'll arrange a shared screen session

Speakers stopped working

Hello there!
It sound a power adapter failure,
check your speakers for power failure, or bad connections,
check also your sound card, mixer, and drivers.
perhaps if a onboard sound is disable for some reason.
check that too.
Good Luck
