Question about Gateway GM4019E PC Desktop
My computer has random times when it decides to crash and I am forced to restart. Sometimes my computer will not work after this problem has occured. Normally I let my computer sit for an hour or so and it works. Occasionally my computer will not work for 24 hours or more but so far it has eventually worked. Its been over 24 hours now and my computer is still not working. When I turn it on, the power supply fan is working and running, but the computer will not even load to the first beep. Any suggestions are appreciated.
It sounds like it's overheated. If you can do this, remove the covers and check the CPU fan and make sure it's running and not full of "bunnies'. Check the heatsink under the fan for dust also. Check the power supply fan to see if it is moving air. If you can, try running without the side panel to see if more air works....
