Unit would not dispense water or cleaner. After taking the unit apart twice I found the heater was blocked. In doing this the plunger fell off. I was able to put it back in place but I must be positioning the plunger wrong. I get water but no matter what position I turn the know no cleaner will dispense.

I have the same problem.

I have the same problem with 2 bissells. Even bought a new pump and that did not fix problem. Seems as if the water from tank is not getting to pump and the lines are open. I ready to throught these two in the trash and buy a Hoover.

This is what happened to me. The heater had to be cleaned. Easy fix.
