unfortunatly the mechanism is jammed up for one reason or the other reason #1 a cd is stuck inside #2 the gear just wore out and or it was forced closed by hand instead of pushing the eject/load button..you can try to gently pry this door open while pressing open/eject button that works 40% of the time..if it does not work? it can then be deemed broken out of order.
it's worth a shot trying to pry it open but beware this could either work or really destroy the door/mech/player comes down to this "do you feel lucky" sadly? that's where we're at with this one.
Similar problem here - pump was set for a 58 minute normal cycle, I look in and see it is now showing 67. Hmm. Attempt to shut it off because it is just sitting there pumping and pumping. Power shuts off but pump keeps running and add garment light flashing red. Cannot open door (to add garment or not) Unplug the unit and the door will not open. Anybody got a clue what's up? I have a wash in, service is closed due to a storm today. Just bugs me that it is 6 months old and seems to act up a fair bit electronically.
The system has a locked / unlocked toggle sequence on the main unit by holding down stop (or Play) and then tapping the power button. Use this sequence lock or unlock the DVD / CD drawer.

Is your door jammed or could the door be moved smoothly? If not then the motor might not be able to start and it flickers, try to press "+" for open or close (depends on whether the unit is going to close or open the door) once at a time and try to remote it, this will increase the open/close force and may overcome the issue.One more thing, do the photo-eye sensors give unobstructed with good indication?
