Question about PC Laptops
I have had to use a regular mouse with my laptop because the cursor would no longer move--could I have hit a button out of anger and stalled it or is it going to cost me a fortune to have this repaired?
If it is a Hp notebook there is a light at the top of the touch pad if the light is amber it is turned off if so push the button next to the light and it will go blue and then the touchpad will be turned on.

Yes, Toshiba models have a function key combination that will disable the built in touch pad, it is next to the function button to enable the external display output.
