Reduce the smoke? Have a diagnostic test done to see if the system is operating correctly. Recondition the engine. Make sure of no excessive oil consumption

Did you fix the problem? If not the light will come back on. If you take the light out. The codes are still in the computer..

You need to get it plugged in to diagnostic scanner
Check your local auto electrician(a lot cheaper than main dealer)
It will usually be a faulty sensor/bad connection

Did they also change oil to a heavier weight? Turbos are oil cooled and require heavier oil to extrude heat. Check with folks who did turn install and if they didn't I think an oil change is needed.

the spanner symbol is indicating your engine/car is due for service/maintainance which if your vehicle is high milage ?/ it may also require the cambelt renewal and the tensioner may i suggest you do not ignor this warning light i am sure you have heard horror stories of the consequences of engines cambelt breaking ?? hope this helps and you heed advice given ?

you just got a bad egg mate most of those egines are fine sure nissan and opel use the same engine in there vans. you probly need a set of glow plugs they are very easy to fit and not to pricey.

sounds like a bad sensor. the glow plugs should stay on long enough to reach a certain temperature, especially when it's cold. So turning off after 1 second is not nearly enough. There may be a problem with sensing the temperature of the glow plugs.

Does it smoke? Could possibly be sticking EGR valve. Remove and clean, or blank off and try running without it. If it runs better, this is your problem.

check other fuses and relays and re set fuel cut off switch
