Mitsubishi 60 inch projection

I have a 1998 60 inch projection TV, model VS-60603. One of the bulbs coolant leaked on the signal board causing it to short out, thus the TV will not come on at all. Since Mitsubishi doesn't sell replacements parts for this anymore, I'm looking for the signal board as well as the 3 bulbs.

60" 1080 HD has developed green and pinkish shadowing on the top half of the screen. A repairman said over the phone it most likely had to do with the tubes and cooling process that the green tube has probably broken and spilled onto the circuit board. He's charging $150.00/hour + a house call fee +++!!! Is it worth repairing at that cost?

They are not BULBS by any stretch of the imagination. They are CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes, also known as "picture tubes," and each of them are small television screens, in essence), which are optically enlarged for projection onto the back of the front screen. Don't be tempted to think that you will merely be able to replace a "bulb" and have everything work!

Although you will be able to replace all of the components on the PC board if necessary (they all remain available), and may be able to fix the coolant leak that caused the failure, the CRT may have overheated. Considering the advanced age of the television, the tubes are likely already somewhat burned-in. Best to just dispose of the set.

You would have to completely take the Mirror out or Mylar backing and being careful not to damage anything, trying to move and reassemble when you get at the new location.
