Machine does not power up. I was told it could be a fuse but I have no idea where this fuse is located in the machine.

I have the same problem with a Viking Prisma 940. I check with every dealer within 50 miles of me and everyone of them wanted me to take the machine in to let them see what the problem was. Needless to say I know what the problem is... I have searched the net for hours trying to find the "FUSE"... HELP!!!!!!!!! Found plenty of sites to order parts, just couldn't find the fuse.

I have a Janome 8000 and it will not power up, was told by the dealer I bought it from that it was the circuit board and also the LED board needed to be replaced as well. Can these boards be purchased and can I replace them myself? The dealer I bought it from is pushing for me to purchase a new 11000 model. Would rather get this machine fixed if possible, When it comes on it makes a loud noise similar to a microwave being used.

    Thanks

I have a memory craft 8000 that gets a message stating "Stepping Motor Error". What can I do to try to fix it?

im not sure if this is fixed, but if not, try pushing the embroidery arm on the machine back into position as this is often the error when you accidently hit and take out of position the embroidery arm because you have something behind the machine when it was moving. i hope this helps

I had the same problem last week, and you need to take to sewing repair dealer, as the black box the fuse is in, located inside the machine. The manual states if this happens take to the dealer and let them change the fuse. Good luck.

Most likely you will have to remove the covers and find the fuse on the circuit board. But be carefull as any static from you may harm the circuit board. Just touch something that is grounded first and release whatever charge you may be walking around on, carpet, etc. Removing the covers is no big deal. Just remember where the screws came from and put it back togeather in reverse of how you took it apart. You can have the dealership order a fuse for you. Might save you 50.00 or so. Good luck.

The screen on my my ellure embroidery machine won't come on when I turn it on. I've had it for ten years and never had this problem. A friend told me it could be a fuse. Is there a diy fix for this?

if there is no power at all then yes check the fuse in the plug and check it has not blown.if you are not sure if it has or not just replace it with another fuse.and see if it comes on.

Machine does not power up

Hi,

The fuse is located in a little black box underneath the base of the machine, but it is not an easy job to take the box out, disassemble it, replace the fuse, and then reassemble the whole machine. I suggest you take it to a service center.

There is no power to my Elna 745 over locker, I've changed the fuse in the plug, but still no power

could be a problem with the motor, or a wiring problem, if the problem continues, having the machine check would be a good idea

Setup

If you want to sew with it, don't hook it up to the computer. You only need to connect it for embroidery.
There is a patch for the ce-200 software at
futura-support.com/downloads/patch.htm
I installed the XP patch and told Windows to run the software as an XP program.

The problem with you bernina is coming from the circuit board located on the back of the machine, there ar e a couple of fuses you might want to replace, if you change out the fuses and still no power the board will need to rebuilt aprox cost$150.00

Locating fuse for the above

Which make a model is this? The line fuse should be located after the 120VAC line enters the sewing machine. Without knowing what model it is i can only give limited help. Unplug unit from the wall, and gain access to where the power cord enters the sewing machine chassis. There should be an internal fuse located shortly after. Let me know what model it is if what I have already said doesn't help you out.

No power after reverse stitching

if the machine will not turn on or run it sounds like an electrical problem within the machine which i recommend you leave to a technician due to high voltage.

Janome 9000

The first thing to be checked is the fuse in the bottom of the machine. Have a different dealer do this check. If the screen lights up it is not a burned out fuse. Find an Authorized Janome dealer that you trust and let him check this machine. He is the only one who can get circuit boards from Janome. The machine does have built in diagnostics for some problems.
