Question about Samsung X820 Cellular Phone
I just decided to use this phone again, but when i power it on the screen is white and stays white. everything works, dialing/ recieving calls, but there is only a white display
I imagine that there could be two things wrong with the phone that caused the blank screen:
- the LCD screen component itself, or the connectors going to it, or
- the firmware of the phone.
If its the LCD component, it will need replacing. If however it is the firmware, you can reinstall firmware (and even upgrade it while you're at it) Thisisn't ideal, as it'll wipe everything on your phone, as it justreinstalls the phone's software. However, this is much better than nothaving a phone that you can use so if you're game, read on.
Is there a way of telling? not really, but it figures that if you reflash the firmware and its not making a difference it means it must be the screen. The worst you've done is upgraded the software on a phone that has a faulty screen.
WARNING: reflashingfirmware on a phonen is always risky, and I cannot be held liable forany resulting loss from this information. Proceed at your own risk.
hope this helps!
