yes unless the thermostats gone.
It,s not really financially practical to replace parts, will cost you parts-and labour.
cheaper to get a new iron, unless still warranted.

Our Tefal Aquaspeed110 Iron will not turn on when we plug in the power chord. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced? If so, where may we get one and where in the iron do we find it please? Karl...

Majority of the iron don't have fuse, you should check the plug and cord. Often it is become open meaning no continuity circuit, no heating. To be able to check it unplug, you should use a analog tester. Also check thermostat dial control, when it is not in right adjustment it is also cause a no heating symptom.
Good luck.

Tefal aquaspeed 260 No heat no light. Fuse OK

I had the same problem. Turned out to be dirty contacts on the thermostat, easily cured with a strip of sandpaper, but you need to dismantle the iron first.
  • Remove the 3 Torq screws in the heel plate (the purple triangular bit at the back, that you stand the iron up on when it's cooling off). One of the screws is a security screw so you'll need a special screwdriver, though I suppose you could risk drilling it out if you're desperate.
  • Prise off the bottom section of the heel plate, to reveal the cable connector block. Pull out the connector block (it's just a push fit).
  • Pull out the self clean / steam selector button.
  • Prise off the white plastic front cover (the one under the self clean button, that surrounds the jet spray nozzle).
  • Under the cover are 3 screws that hold the sole plate and iron body together. Undo them.
  • Now you should be able to separate the main components of the iron and get to the thermostat. Check the contacts - mine had a build-up of carbon from the arcing as the thermostat operates. Clean both faces with a strip of sandpaper, then reassemble the iron, being careful to align the temperature selection lever correctly.

How to dismantle a Tefal Aquaspeed 150

no, its not the Aquaspeed 170, but Aquaspeed 150. i succeded to unwrap the housing, but did fail in disconnecting or dismounting the power cord terminal.i could not disassemble the Iron to reach the heater. to dismantle, step 1 unscrew 3 visible screws. step 2 lift the heel cover away, by unsnapping 1 hooks at the right and one at the left side of the heel cover. i used thumnbnail to deform the heel cover for not to wear out the snap-in hooks. step 3 remove the dischalk stick (don't know the right wording in english) step 4 lift the top cover (which covers the spray jet part), 2 hooks at both left and right, use thumbnail or flat screwdriver, start at the top hook. step 5 take off the spray and steam buttons, 1 hook at the front side, 1 hook at the outer back side step 6 take off 2 screws: one keeps the upper half of the handle, the other fixes the water container at the heater plate. Attention: when unmounting the container, and turning the iron upside down, a small (4mm diam, ~10 mm length) silicone cylinder part will fall out, some kind of actor of a bimetal thermo switch in the ground plate, which probably controls water flow (not the electric thermostate) so far so good, i got my problem solved, but would like to know how to disassemble the container from the ground plate and how to replace the cable?
