Ice Maker problem 106-626636

I have a kitchen aid fridge ksre25fhwh02. The ice maker worked fine, I disconected it for two weeks and remodeled the kitchen. I ran a new water line, now it wont work. There is water in the door, when the water arm is touched. How do you manually cyclr this ice maker, to see if the water valve is opening, or if the heater comes on, and the motor turns? Thanks, Stu

106 626636 icemaker. mold tray empty. does not fill water and motot is trying to advance ejector arm all the time making noise indicating resistance of some sort. unpluged it, disconnected and removed module cap. "do not manually turn" gear can not be turned at all. removed a motor. little motor gear can not be turned at all manually.

Assembled it all back.Set arm in on position, jumper L and V it filled the water. Jumper T and H and it made full turn. Ejector arm is outside the mold. Is it safe to give it a couple hours to freeze and go thu the cycle??

I'm having the identical problem. I've replaced the entire module but still no results. What should the voltages be at the connector where the module plugs into the icemaker?

Pull the front cover off the i/maker. There are holes on the module(the piece with the large gear) They are labeled T an H at around 5 oclock L and V around 6-9 oclock use a piece of wire to jumper l and v first it should start to fill if it doesnt the fill tube may be iced up, if it does fill then jumper t and h for about 6-10 secs or until it will advance by itself. Also whirlpool had a batch of faulty modules the large gears were breaking if it wont advance or if the plastic gear falls off easily then this is the problem. Dont forget to rate my solution!! Thanks!!!

Uh yeah, didn't mean to do that twice. I was drunk from an iced martini using ice from my newly fixed icemaker.

Buzzing sound Kitchen Aid fridge Model KBLA20EMSS

It may be the arm in the ice maker is down. Even though the ice maker does not have the water hooked up if the arm above the ice bin is down it will still cycle the ice maker try lifting up the arm it should stay up this signals the ice maker that the bin is full and should shut off the ice maker. Hope this helps.

KITCHEN AID REFRIGERATOR PROBLEM We bought a used Kitchen Aid fridge YKSRS22Q (1993), the ice maker is not working but water does work. What should we check to see why the ice maker doesn't work?

Ice makers work off of temperature. If it's not cold enough in the freezer it won't work. Check the temperature with a thermometer, it should be 0 to +10F
