If theres no ethernet connection, which i suspect there isn't you cant connect to the net, as all the latest games consoles need the use of a router to access the net.

That's probably the issue. If it isn't even being detected then 9 times out of 10 it is a broken or unseated wire. You can pick them up at used gaming stores for $5 though. Hope that helps.
This happens to me , Some games don't work on Some PS2 consoles for Example my friends Theme park world only works on a Slim PS2 and not a Proper Fat one , Wat type of PS2 do u have? and wat game r u trying to play?
You can't use bluetooth to connect the PS2 to the internet. If you have the old PS2 model you need the ethernet adapter that sits on the back. The PS3 Slim has built-in ethernet.
Also, you can't access the net (surfing etc). You can only use the internet for online games (SOCOM etc).
Hi,
i know wat youre talkin bout.I had a tc to which i couldnt connect my dvd player.
There are 2 possible solutions...
1.You can get an analog converter. At least i think thats wat its called.it connects the ps2 wires thru the converter to the big fat pin of your old tv.It will work.
2.Sorry bro...you gotta buy a new TV.
and if i helped u solve ur problem in any way...please help me by clicking on the fixya rating.. thank you.
I'm guessing you mean PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3? And are you connecting via ethernet (Cable/DSL) or via phone line (Dial up)? Also if you have a PS2 is it slim or fat? If you have a PS3 then go to Settings-Network Settings-Internet Connection Settings. If you have a PS2 then I think you need the network software disc that came with it, but you might be able to do it from system configuration.
