Maybe low in Freon, inefficient compressor or partially restricted.
1.) Check the Freon level and add Freon if needed.,
2.) Check for leak and repair if any
3.) Change the dryer filter, pull a deep vacuum then charge the unit according to the manufacturer's recommendation. See the name plate for more info.
Note: skip all the above if compressor found inefficient.

Do upright freezers have a thermal shut off switch if the compressor runs too long or gets to hot?

There is probably a safety device of some description incorporated into the design though it probably isn't to blame for the trouble.

You need to discover whether it is the fan, compressor or both; neither should run constantly. The condenser fan is only needed while the compressor is pushing the refrigerant around the circuit and in many designs, where a belt driven compressor is used it is usual for the fan to be mounted on the extended motor shaft so they can't run independently.

If the compressor runs constantly and the cabinet doesn't suffer from excessive freezing it is almost certain either the compressor is failing or there is a leak and refrigerant is being lost - probably the latter.

LG 1.5 ton dual inverter ac compressor did not cut off and again stare aftersome time

inverter compressor run all the time
it is internally controlled so that it only pumps the required amount of gas to keep the constant setting
so if you have a setting of 26 C and the ambient is 24 C the motor is running but the load on the compressor is reduced to zero== power savings
If on the other hand you have the setting on 18 C and the ambient temp is 35C then the compressor is under constant load and will run virtually all the time ==costly unit to run

LG Model: LWHD1500ER - I would like the unit's compressor to remain on constantly. The temp guage seems to be off and shuts down the compressor. Can I bypass the temp guage to leave th ecompressor...

You can but the unit will have not control over temperature, and you can cause the unit to freeze up or slug the compressor w/ liquid refrigerant causing premature compressor failure. I would recommend replacing the thermostat if it is not holding proper temperature, but if dead set on bypassing it use a volt/ohm meter after unplugging it to find the normally open contacts and wire those wires together taking into consideration that the fan must run constantly with the compressor.

I purchased whirl pool refrigerator sept2004 for guarnty 7 year scheme but now refrigerator have not done cooling

check to make sure compressor is running may be something simple like the relay on compressor... also make sure there is no frost build up on back wall of freezer as this would be a defrost issue and will frost up enough that it cannot move air across coil to cool....
repost with any questions....good luck to you...

My kenmore 19.7 cu.ft. chest freezer is not running and the compressor is hot

Place a volt meter set for amp draw around one wire of the compressor. If you do not have a constant amp draw replace the start relay on the compressor.
If you do have a constant amp draw the compressor is bad or you have a refrigerant leak.

Compressor runs constantly, fridge cools, but not as cold as new

If unit is running constantly, and not nearly as cold as it used to be, most likely a freon leak. Possibly a partially frozen over evap too. If evap is mostly clear except for about 5% of it, most probably a freon leak. Changing controls will probably not fix anything. Need to look into this a little deeper.

Good Luck and hope this gets it done for you.

Fan / Compressor runs constantly

Condenser fans (the fan next to the compressor) do run all of the time. That is normal.

Hissing sound and constantly running generator

The only thing I can think of that you may be hearing would be if the compressor has a problem. If you notice cooling performance decrease or it stops cooling, I believe you will find the compressor has bad internal valves. It will probably take a technician to properly diagnose this and if the compressor has this problem the only answer is to replace the compressor.
I hope this helps, supertechks
