Technics sech730 Hi - I have a technics sech730 stack system and the amplifier won't turn on so I took it to a repair shop and they told me that the left and right PA is blown? I don't know what this is and they say they can't get a replacement - please can you help?
I think it's the power amplifier. Try contacting Technics directly for the parts. Ask for the parts number from the repair shop you had it serviced at.
- If you need clarification, ask it in the comment box above.
- Better answers use proper spelling and grammar.
- Provide details, support with references or personal experience.

Hi
the right speaker input from the mixer sometimes in goes out! Usually when base are low. However it does it along in the middle of a song.
I have put w40 in the hole and it works.
when I fist got it I had to take it for repairs but it never went away completely.
what could it be?
This is most LIKELY an electronic problem... possibly in the final power amp. Repair may be a simple failed component or a mass number that fail like a stack of dominos. Take it to a shop for repair.
You need to post the reference number of the IC into Google. My reference book shows that Technics is connected to Panasonic, but it could be out of date.
Usually this is a defect in the output amp IC. If you have no experience with repairs of these types of units, have it checked by a service shop. If the output AMP IChas failed, it will cost about $75 for a replacement. This unit uses an RSN3306P IC .
for the past month i have been shopping for the perfect home theater system and have narrowed it down to a bose system,a sony system and a paramax p510...i have listened to all 3 systems and have found the paramax to be the better system not a cheaper system but seem more bang for my buck at 3200$,a very powerful tube amp and downfiring sub maxes out at 2000 watts...
The Peavey A/B controls are output gain controls. Your mixers stereo output goes into the amps inputs, channels A & B. The Peavey is the output stage to your speaker system. If you you connect the outputs from a power amp to the inputs of a mixer you will blow the mixers input stage, amongst many other things and possibly damage the amplifier too. The bias (Bass, Mid, Treble controls) are on the mixer, not the amplifier. Unless you are using a mixer amp, which you are not. A PA system DOES NOT work in the same way as an intergrated hi fi amp.
The output section has a problem which is detected by the circuitry and the entire unit is in "protect" mode. This mode effectively shuts off the output. If you don't have electronics repair experience, I'd suggest that you bring this unit to a service shop. Expect a parts cost in the $25-$45 range.
