Hit MENU>CLOCK>EDIT on the bottom of your screen than change the time and date and than hit save. This will now change your calander automatically. Don't forget to hit save!

If the pda was made in 2005, it's likely that there is a small watch battery somewhere which saves your settings, date, time, etc.
If this "CMOS battery" needs to be replaced, you're probably losing all of those basic settings whenever you let the main battery lose too much of a charge.
Hopefully, it's easy to access.
