Check to make sure that you have the latest DirectX version for your version of windows and also check the system requirements for the game compared to your graphics card and Memory.

To download Direct X go to Microsofts Website. Some games require 3D accelaration. Make sure that this is active and avaible by going to Start>Run (on right hand side) and type in dxdiag. When the program opens it will tell you your version of Direct X and then click on the Display tab and run the tests that are avaiable there to make sure that you have no errors with your display. It will also tell you whether you have 3D accelleration or not.

did you try installing newest drivers from intel/gigabyte website? what you described looks to me as a overheating problem. try running the game with case open. are you running on the integrated GMA graphics or PCI-E graphics card(like geforce, radeon)?

Simply open up your Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Program Files\Princess Isabella - A Witch's Curse. Right-click on the file "Princess.exe" and select "Properties". Under the Compatibility tab, select "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows XP - Service Pack 2 or 1", whichever one you have (if you don't know, try 2 first, then 1 if it doesn't work). "Apply" and "OK" and you should be all set.
