SOURCE: 42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Our LG 50" plasma tv screen went black after a popping noise but still had sound, after great diliberations decided to take the back off and have a peek!
We unplugged the tv and tested the fuses (there were three we could see) one had blown, the one on the left as you look at the back of the tv it also has one above it. We wrote the code/seriel number down and took the fuse to the electrical wholesalers Maplin and bought a pack of 10 fuses for £1.29 replaced the fuse in the tv and everything now fine!!!!!!
Hope this might be of use to anyone whose lost the picture after a loud popping/snacking noise but still has sound.

SOURCE: LG RZ42PX11 PICTURE PROBLEM.

I do not know who was helping you before but the problem you are having can be caused by three boards in the tv each by themselves or in combination. Those are the control board with part#6871QCH053G, the Y- board part #6871QYH036D or the Z-board part#6871QZH041B. Without being able to do voltage and signal measurements directly for you, the Z-board is likely the culprit here. But I will tell you that even experienced tv technicians find themselves swapping one or more of the boards until they fix the problem. I am assuming here of course that you have not had problems with your tv before. The part #s I have given you are for the improved boards that LG has assembled to take care of future similar problems and come with their latest training manual for technicians. God bless and good luck.

Two issues with LG42PX5D. 1st, while on, picture flickers continually in and out or on and off. Able to watch picture just annoying. 2nd, the entire picture has a snowy affect. Not clear or sharp

This could be a Mal-Discharge problem which can be rectified by replacing either or both of the sustain boards, a software update for the control board can occassionally help but would need to be done by an engineer.

LG 42" PLASMA DU42PY10x

First of all, Plasma sets are not just plug and play. There are necessary voltages to check along with temperature readings of both those modules along with 3 others to determine which one might be defective. Let me what you have checked in order for me to help you!
Law of probability doesn't always come into play with plasma's.

LG 42PX10 Plasma

I just fixed my plasma with same looking problem. Mine is a 42PX11. Cost me $320.00 in parts from Fishwick Electonics. Replaced three circuit boards, crossed my fingers and turned it on and am happy to report it has been working fine since for about 6 months now.

This could be from a failed power supply, or a failure in the management area, or a short on one of the boards which is shutting down the power supply.

LG PLASMA TV WITH COLOURED LINES OVER SCREEN

If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.
Good Luck.
