Question about Samsung SF 5100 Laser Printer
Hi, I have a problem where incoming faxes are printed twice (90% of the time). I have an error on my LCD that says "CRU fuse Error" which i dont find an explanation for in the technical manual. When i print out a system data list it says there on top "CRU PRINTS =2? I dont know how to change this or if this is the reason for the double printing. I'm not even sure what CRU actually stands for because it doesnt mention it in the manual. Any help with be greatly appreciated.
CRU Fuse error equates to a problem the machine has reading the print cartridge installed in the machine. It has nothing to do with the fuser.
Suggest that you change the print cartridge.

CRU stands for "Current Use" and it appears on the System Data List as part of the page counters. The System Data List can be printed through the "Report" menu. Your unit is rather old and the fuser unit for it is intended to last 60,000 pages, although It can also be damaged by power failures. The part number for your fuser is JC96-01621A. This part number might have changed, but the expected price for it is around $99.00 to $129.00. Good luck.
