Re: Scanner

I guess you run windows. Did you install the mfl-suite given to you by cd? Use the PaperPort software. Handbook can be found on cd (other software). In case you dont have paperport, you can use another programm which supports the scanner driver. Therefore be sure to have installed all the drivers. If you dont have the cd download the software from the brother homepage:

I recently bought a Canon PIXMA MX320 all in one printer with my macbook. It works fine, but I can't figure out how to scan an image onto my laptop.

You need to control the scanner through your PC with canon software that came with your scanner otherwise you cant scan anything..first open the printer/scanner software ,select scanner, then place your document and command "scan" from the software.
Good luck, do rate the solution if helped

As with most scanners, place the document in the scanner for scanning. Open the software that you wish to use. Select "File" from the menu and then "Import". Your scanner interface listing should appear. Click on the device to begin your import from your scanner. Your scanner should scan the document and it will appear in your application. Be advised, Scanners scan in a Graphic format. To edit in a wordprocessor you will need some kind of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Software to convert the graphics into a wordable form for editing.

Help w/ scanner

You should have the manual for the scanner and the CD.Study the manual with care. Make sure the software is loaded into the computer. You can scan from this or another program such as a photo editor. Be aware that any scan into the computer will be an image file[ JPEG/BMP] and only only be seen as a photographic image in an editor Word processor will not reveal it unless you deploy an character recognition programs - but that's another story
