Havent got a backup of windows

I need to download windows xp for my netbook 4211c as its not working

    it comes pre loaded i dont have a copy as it dosent come on a disc

Unfortunately that isn't legally possible. You will need to contact your PC manufacturer or buy a new copy of Windows.

    I am afraid that that does not change the situation. You have three options:



    1 - You should have created restore disks when you got the PC. If you did, you can use these. If you haven't created them, you should look in your documentation for how to do this.



    2- Contact your manufacturer's support line and ask them for a set of restore disks - there may be a cost for this.



    3 - Buy a retail copy of Windows.

Good day, install window 7 to my laptop and since then i can't access my webcam
I checked the support sites out and unfortunatly it says all drivers are on a backup partition on your hard drive. Most drivers are available from the msi website I'm fairly certain that the 4211C is a rebadged MSI Wind U100 (it should have this printed on the underside of the netbook). If this is correct then you can also get the drivers, along with the user manual, from the MSI Europe website.

But it says the webcam drivers are built into the OS, so if you have changed the OS you are out of luck

My friend has a advent 4211-b netbook was working fine until it would not let him load xp or reboot in any mode it just looks as if going to load then goes straight back to load windows normaly
Try to start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.

Downloaded window 7 on my netbook and forgot to backup before installing i had xp
Sadly, there is no direct upgrade path for XP (pro or home) to Windows 7, only Vista. Windows 7 from XP requires a clean install.

Still, check the hard drive and see if Windows 7 moved the files to another location. It installs differently from XP or Vista and there may be a chance they are still somewhere on the drive. Use the search feature to look for a known file and see what happens.

I have an Advent 4211 Netbook. When I switch on windows XP will not start, just takes me to the screen which offers Safe Mode, normally etc - but whichever I try it just comes back to this screen
XP is corrupted, most likely caused by a massive infection. Try a Repair. Follow this instructions http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm 
If this doesn't work (or goes back they way it is now very quickly) use a Linux Live-CD to backup all your files and reformat your pc and do a clean install.
