Hdtv only the power button work.

Good afternoon! My name is Becki, and I am with DISH Network. Here are a few steps and codes to program that remote with your TV if you have not done so already. I hope this helps!

1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

Janicesim851, Programming the remote is pretty simple.

We don't have any codes for a World TV available, though you can check out this link for more information

In case you already have a code available I will provide both instructions to address the remote, and how to power scan the code in.

Addressing Remote to
TV: 1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

Power Scan to TV:
1.) With the TV on, press and hold the TV button (about six seconds) on top of the remote until all mode button backlights come on, then release.
2.) Press and release the red power button, then press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the TV. If the code for the TV comes up, it will power off.
3.) Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.

I'msorry I did also attempt to locate a Prima remote code within DISH Network's database aswell but unfortunately I was unsuccessful and have found no remote codesfor the TV you have. However, we can still attempt to program the DISH Networkremote to the Prima television without a remote code, this would be done bycompleting a Power scan. If you decide you would like to program the DISHNetwork remote to your TV using the power scan, I have included instructionsbelow to further assist you. Withthe desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button (In this casethe mode button will be "TV") until all the other mode button back lightsilluminate, then release. 1. Pressand release the Power button. 2. Pressthe Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, theequipment will power off. 3. Pressthe POUND (#) button. If the codeentered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

Hello there. You may have already gotten this resolved, but here are some steps if you have not yet, or have some questions. If the remote is not working to format the picture and get rid of those bars, you can try to readdress the remote and try again ( link to do this below). Some tv's have a format button on the tv itself, but if that also is not working, try to unplug the receiver box for 10 seconds. I hope that you got that tv and remote working. But if you haven't, I have some steps that can help you out. If your tv remote is not working, and you want to program your DISH remote to your tv, here are the steps:
Just follow the link I provided below, which will walk you through a power scan. The power scan scan your tv for the code that works with the remote. It sounds tedious, but it's very quick and simple! I hope that it helps!

Hi i haven't had this problem before but i can try to help but i cant guarantee it will work.

First of all i would try turning it off and unplugging it by the switch for 30 minutes making sure you remove the card.

Then i would turn it back on and try from there.

If it still doesnt work i would try changing the fuse and if still no luck you have no choice but to ring sky because your box might have blew something inside it.

Hi dbcypertI was going over your post and seen where there is a problem with the DISHNetwork remote not being able to go to all the inputs on your TV. If you pushand release the TV button and try the volume, mute and input and it still isnot working replacing the batteries. 1. Turn on your TV. 2.Press & hold the TV Mode button until all Mode buttons        light up. 3.Press red power button 4.Press the UP ARROW repeatedly (about 1 press per second) until your TV turns off. 5.Press # POUND The TV Mode button will flash three        times. 6. Press the POWER button to turn the TV on and try other buttons to make sure the code works. If you want to try another code, start over from step 1.

In looking at the manual no codes are given for the Coby brand TV. If the above process does not work, you'll have to call DishNetwork for further assistance. It may be that the remote will not work for your TV.
