Monitors don't have product keys.

However, if you're talking about the PC, your best recourse would be to contact eMachines. If your system was licensed to run Microsoft Windows originally, and this license key is not either in the documentation or on a sticker on the side of the box, then eMachines would be the next place to go.

If you use a license key that is registered to someone else, you'll find that your copy of Windows won't pass "Windows Genuine" certification. You'll end up missing out on lots of security updates.

Connect to a Computer

Microsoft Outlook Express will not work with the iPAQ Pocket PC and ActiveSync.

Your recovery software is usually comprised of more than one disk. You should have one windows disk in addition to the eMachines disk(s). Complete recovery requires that you use all the disks, in order to return to original state. If you are missing programs, it is because you did not use all the disks.

You will need your machine serial number to ensure you obtain the correct recovery disks; they are about 20$ plus shipping.

Option B: Use your eRecovery: Restart the computer and when it begins booting up, you have to hit repeatedly/hold down a key to enter the Recovery management menu. As for the key, it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, but try the F10 key for starters. If it's not that one, try the F12, or the F8 key. That should get you pointed in the right direction. Just follow the screen prompts, and choose RECOVERY, not RESTORE. Also make sure you choose Recovery without disks.

1st Option: Go to BIOS level and select the CD/DVD device is the first device for boot option and then insert the recovery CD/DVD to format or install OS.
2nd Option: If recovery CD/DVD got curropted and you are having the other OS CD/DVD, then try to load and format or install the OS. Also try to download the recovery image from vendor website.

Hi, check; is this an automatic update download?, or is this software manually downloaded. This download might not be compatible with your system. I suggest uninstalling the update. If computer configures back to normal; check for new updates, by Microsoft Updates! Thanks paul7of9

Use any Anti-virus scanner.
To start with you can use any trialware version of prominent anti-virus companies, like

you can try download.com to find free and trial based anti-virus programs.

Updating your virus scanner definitions regularly would minimize chances of getting infected again if your virus scanner is good.

Unless you have the actual CD and license that came with the computer (restore or program), you will not be able to retrieve the software. The software that was on your last pc was an OEM of Microsoft's Virtual Earth and based on the EULA (end user license agreement), it cannot be transfered to another computer.

You will need to buy another license.
