I was typing on our wireless Logitech keyboard and inadvertently hit a wrong combination of keys. Now when I type it types only in red and everything is underlined. Nothing I do seems to correct it back to black text. Help

SOURCE: my logitech wireless keyboard won't type. i

go to logitech support, download setpoint software and follow instructions on setting secure connection. i just did it with mine and keyboard got fixed. your symptoms should be that the qwerty keys dont work but the multimedia, clock and function keys are working. the setpoint software will take care of that.

How to type @ symbol

I am not familiar with this particular keyboard, but it sounds like you are not finding that symbol (@) on the keyboard. On most keyboards it seems to be the shift of the "2" key (at the top of the keyboard, not on a separate number keypad). I checked keyboards from three manufacturers, and that was the case on all three. However, if that key is not working properly, you could define "(a)" or something similar to be auto-corrected to the "@" symbol. Finally, you could try typing the ASCII character by a keystroke combination such as Alt-0064. In MS Word, when I type that combination (make sure to use the numeric keypad, not the number row keys), I get the "@" symbol. The same works in many programs.

Trying to use overhead projector on laptop with wireless keyboard

Should be the same thing. Laptop is just sending commands to laptop which is already connected to the projector.

You need to reboot the PC and it will be fine.
Otherwise, if your mouse is working then go to the device manager and uninstall the keyboard and then restart the PC with Keyboard Driver Installation CD/Setup.

Logitech cordless keyboard types

usually there is a way to install back to factory setting. Ctrl + Alt +suspend macro. Logitech may have this combination not sure what it might be. Look at suspend macro keys or remapping of keyboard fora solution from logitech. Otherwise you may have to take the batteries out and leave them out for a short time then try to reboot to the receiver and see if this works.

Code

Look for a key with a coloured symbol,ie,indicating "keyboard 1",or something similar. Hold the code key down and at the same time press your selected key. Order should be restored. If not, look up an Olympia dealer and they will help you over the phone. One thing for sure ,you have inadvertely selected a 2nd or 3rd keyboard setting to accommodate an other daisy-wheel/language. Good luck!
