The cylinder for break fluid just behind the steering rod di leak. I replaced the inner rubber rings etc, with a new kit, which stopped the leak but now the clutch does not function. Any suggestions?
After repairing any hydraulic system in which the fluid has drained you always need to bleed the air out. Open the bleeder screw on the clutch slave cylinder and have an assistant push the pedal down, then close the bleeder and tell the assistant to let the pedal return (up)... Repeat this process till you have a solid stream (no air bubbles)... remember to keep adding fluid to the reservoir! If it goes dry you will have to start bleeding all over again... Hope this helps...;-)
