When you first power up the pc emediatly press f8 rapidly and dont stop until you get to a black screen that says somthing like safe mode safe mode with networking and so on and so forth any ways use the up and down keys to select safe mode and press enter it will go to a screen where writing in white flashes up the screen for a instance and then boot windows know if its home just select administrater it shouldent be protected by a password so no wories if its pro type administrater and press enter dont wory about the password if you get a message that says wrong user name or password check the speeling if that fails your screwed if it works you will enter the adminitrater account click yes on the diologue thats jumps up and go to start/control pannel/user accounts/select the profile you are trying to unblock and hit delete password now restart and enter the profile note take note of the account name before restarting cause on xp pro you need to change the user name back from admin then go to user profiles and change the password back to what ever you want if this doesent work post a new comment on the page and discribe the situation and ill provide an alternate method

Can get analog stations recorded but not hi defination

Hi, unless the VCR/dvd recorder is hi def then you won't be able to.

Hdmi connection is hi-def, I think you can have a hi-def signal through composite, but it's your recorder thats the problem, it cannot read the number of line a hi-def signal has.

I have just found this.

Cannot set "HI" Mode to shoot TIFF Images

In order to shoot "HI" TIFF images first set the Image Size option to either "5M 2592x1944" or "3:2 2592x1728." Next, choose "HI" as the Image Quality option. "HI" is only available in one of the manual exposure modes (P, S, A or M) and is not available in the "Auto" shooting mode. If "HI" is selected and the camera is switched to "Auto" the Image Quality will automatically switch to "FINE" mode and a JPEG image will be recorded. Additionally, "HI" is only available in "S" Single frame Continuous shooting.
