HP PAVILLION ZE4900 MONITOR goes 'night vis...

I have a ZE4900 series laptop. If I open my monitor fully it will give a green tint to everything on the screen. It is almost as if a green filter is placed over the entire screen. It will only go a way after a moving the screen back and forth, and it is getting worse. Sometimes if I let the laptop sit idle with the screen open the green will go away.

Does this sound like a monitor problem or a motherboard-monitor cable problem?

Any help will be gratfully appreciated. did anyone find a solution? i have a HP dv6000 (nvidea geforce GO 6150video card) and im about done with it. first the battery completelydied within the first year, then days after my warranty expired, thewireless card disappeared... now this.

the external monitor is green most of the time, though sometimes itmagically comes alive and then i am squinting for a second. sometimesit flickers back and forth quickly, some times it stays bright for afew minutes.

its a brand new monitor and the last one i had was doing the samething - which is the reason i replaced it. so it's not the cable. itsthe card. i've tried installing older and new drivers, but have runinto many errors throughout the process.

if anyone can help that would be AMAZING. i cant go with out acomputer for really even a day and i cant afford to just buy a new one.i need to try and fix it myself.
