Question about Energizer Rechargable Battery with Charger

1 Answer

Energizer charger not charging batteries

Hello. I have an Energizer Battery Charger that can charge up to 4 AAA or AA recharble NiMH batteries. I have used this once and it charged the batteries that time, but didn't fully charge them even though I had them on the charger the recommended time. I have not used this charge in maybe a month and have plugged it in every outlet of my house and it still will not charge the batteries. Should I just attempt to go to the store where I bought it and just exchange it? I've tried to hunt down the manual online since I can't seem to find it at my house anywhere, so I am unsure if I continue to search online for it or give up and just exchange it. Any advice? Please let me know...preferrably through email: [email protected] Thanks, Sweety051785

I have 2 of these chargers and neither of the LED's work.... I doubt they are charging my batteries either. I always thought you can trust Branded makes..... I guess cheaper maybe best afterall.

    Any solutions?

Same deal for me it worked a few times but now seems completely dead. I measured a voltage between the + #1 cell terminel and the - #2/3 terminal but all other combinations measure nothing.

I don't see any solutions here!

SOURCE: Energizer CHDC charger suddenly not indicating if charging or not

It sounds like the PC Board which provides the circuitry for the Charger's indicating light is malfuntioning. If you have a DC volt-meter, you can check the Charger's output voltage, and then the Battery voltage to determine if your charger is functioning.

Hint: If the Charger has an output voltage, but the Battery's voltage is less than its rated voltage... it's time for a new battery.

SOURCE: energizer CH2PC-UK battery charger' how long do i

Charge time depends on the mAh capacity of the batteries (should be listed on the package, or the side of the battery) most AAAs are under 900mAh so 2 hrs should be sufficient, but AAs vary greatly in capacity so heres a link to check after you look up your mAh rating

Hello. Just place the two batteries together at the far left, or at the far right to charge them.. Just do not place them in the middle, or with an empty space between them. here is a link to the instruction sheet for your future reference

Energizer +AA NIMH Batteries consumed quickly

There are many grades of batteries under the same manufacturers name. They have a different Ah rating. The lower the Ah the shorter the time they will last.
